Judo klub Gorica je s 1.12.2024 postal ponosni izvajalec Erasmus + šport projekta z naslovom SAFESPORT. Projekt izvajamo skupaj z partnerji Judo klub Rijeka, Hrvaška in Aetoi Thessalonikis, Grčija.

Primarni cilj projekta je uvedba programa GSMP (Genius Safe Motor Program) v sisteme izobraževanja trenerjev in otrok. Smernice programa GSMP zajemajo celoten spekter razvoja tako telesne dejavnosti kot tudi varnostnih protokolov (kot npr. učenje varnega padanja). Program GSMP zajema ključna načela iz juda kot so učenje padanja, kritično razmišljanje, kontrola telesnega stika, spoštovanje, predanost, ki jih so preneseni skozi različne dogodke in treninge trenerjem in drugim aktivnim udeležencem.


SAFE SPORT – Erasmus+ Kick-off Meeting (Januar, 2025)

The first Kick-off meeting of the Erasmus+ project SAFE SPORT took place online in January 2025. The meeting brought together representatives from Judo klub Gorica (Slovenia), Judo klub Rijeka (Croatia), and Aetoi Thessalonikis (Greece).

During the session, we had the opportunity to meet each other, introduce ourorganisations, and discuss the main goals, activities, and timeline of the project. The meeting successfully set the foundation for future collaboration and ensured a common understanding of the SAFE SPORT objectives.

The project is co-funded by the European Union, with the goal of promoting safe and inclusive sports environments for children and youth.

 

 

 

 

 


SAFSPORT project presented at the International Scientific Conference “It’s About People” (March, 2025)

The SAFESPORT Erasmus+ Sport project was showcased at the International Scientific Conference “It’s About People,” where its goals, activities, and significance within the EU were presented. With a strong focus on promoting safe and inclusive sports environments, the project aims to foster awareness and implement best practices across Europe.

The presentation reached over 170 attendees, highlighting the importance of safeguarding athletes and ensuring ethical sports practices. Stay tuned for more updates on SAFESPORT’s impact!


Slovenian Instruction Workshop Days – Nova Gorica (March, 2025)

From 27th to 30th March 2025, we hosted the Slovenian Instruction Workshop Days as part of the Erasmus+ SAFE SPORT project.

The event focused on sharing expertise in the field of the Genius Safe Motor Program (GSMP), aiming to enhance knowledge and practices related to safe and effective motor development in sports for children and youth.

The workshop brought together all project partners as well as local coaches and trainers, creating a dynamic learning environment and encouraging collaboration between international experts and the local sports community.

The event successfully contributed to the professional development of participants and strengthened the practical implementation of GSMP methods across partner countries.

 

 

 

 

 


Participation at the International Congress “Human in Motion” (Oktober, 2025)

From 28 September to 1 October 2025, representatives of the SAFE SPORT project participated in the International Congress “Human in Motion”.

During the event, the team presented research papers focused on child safety in sports training, highlighting the importance of gradual inclusion methods. The presentations showcased preliminary findings from the ongoing SAFE SPORT project, aiming to promote safer and more inclusive approaches in youth sports.

The congress provided an excellent opportunity to share knowledge, gather feedback, and build connections with international experts in the field of physical activity, motor development, and sports education.

 

 

 

 

 

 


Workshops on Transferring GSMP Knowledge through Judo (April 2025 -)

As part of the SAFE SPORT project, a series of workshops are being held focusing on the transfer of Genius Safe Motor Program (GSMP) knowledge through judo.

These workshops aim to equip judo coaches and trainers with practical tools and methods to support safe motor development in children. By integrating GSMP principles into judo training, the sessions promote progressive inclusion, injury prevention, and a safer sports environment for young athletes.

The workshops also serve as a platform for sharing good practices, encouraging collaboration between project partners and local coaching communities.
